Student services and support programs

  • Advisory Visiting Teachers

    Advisory Visiting Teachers (AVTs) are teachers with specialist knowledge and skills, who support the access, participation and achievement of students with disabilities.

  • Chaplaincy

    Bulimba State School Chaplaincy Services provide spiritual, ethical, and personal support to our school community.

  • English as a Second Language (ESL)

    English language support is available for children for whom English is a second language and for children, born in Australia, who have a non-English speaking background.

  • Guidance Officers

    Guidance Officers provide guidance and counselling services in a variety of settings to support students and staff in a variety of situations.

  • Learning Potential and Gifted Education Mentor

    The Support Teacher Learning Potential plans and supports the whole support assessment, intervention programs and planning for individual students to achieve their potential.

  • Special Education Program

    Bulimba State School’s Special Education Program (SEP) is dedicated to supporting the educational needs of students with disabilities.

  • Student Welfare Action Team Referral

    Student Welfare Action Team (SWAT) supports students, teachers and families by providing necessary assessment, appropriate co-ordination between specialist providers, classroom support and recommendations for action.
