Bulimba SS has many outdoor spaces used by students to understand their environment. Students can: relax, think, problem solve, explore, create and have fun in them! These areas, such as the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden and Outdoor Learning area, with its water, sand and mud play areas, provide opportunities for 'nature play' and build student understanding about plants and animals. Our school fosters the importance of protecting these environments. This message is integrated through the school's EcoMarine program. The EcoMarine Ambassadors and Crew make connections with Moreton Bay and how we impact it. Initiatives, such as recycling bins, class composting of food scraps, and implementing the Containers for Change program, are a few student-led activities which put sustainability first, and continue to make a positive difference to our school.
