What is the P&C all about?

A great school like Bulimba State School doesn’t just happen. It takes a lot of work by dedicated teaching staff and school families. Our School enjoys a great reputation in the local area due to the commitment and involvement from families and staff. We want this great reputation to continue.
Whilst fundraising is important the P&C isn’t all about fundraising. It is also the place to have your say about "whole school" issues. All manner of things have been discussed, dissected and debated. Everyone is given a chance to air their concerns. P&C is where your voice can be heard.
Helping out at school is a great way to get involved in your child’s education and to get to know the school staff and other parents.
Research shows that children benefit when their parents are actively involved in their education and school life.
The Bulimba State School P&C has its own website with details on how you can become involved in the school community. The P&C run a number of sub-committees including Swim Club, Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) and Smart Bites (Tuckshop). They also run a number of major fundraisers and events throughout the year and manage the tennis court and cricket net weekend hire.
The P&C meets on the third Wednesday of each month in the Library. Meetings commence at 6.30pm. All parents welcome to attend.
